Australians to Enjoy More Cheap Flights to Asia

There is a war brewing among the budget airlines and that means that Australians are going to be able to enjoy cheap flights to many exotic Asian destinations.  AirAsia X is ramping up their service and within the next two years they are planning on opening new hubs in Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia and they will be offering direct flights from Australia.  Flights currently offered from Australia include flights to Kuala Lampur from the Gold Coast, Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne.

AirAsia X CEO Azran Osman Rani said that it is not secret that they aim to service all the capital cities in Australia and they are currently in negotiations with a few new hubs.  All this competition has already allowed Australians to take advantage of cheap flights.  Other budget airlines include Toger Airways, Scoot, and Jetstar.  As for AirAsia X, Mr. Rani said that they are barely scratching the surface of budget travel in Asia and there is long-term growth potential.
