Based on searches on the Thomas Cook website, over 32 million Brits are researching where they will take their next vacation, meaning more than half of UK travelers plan to travel overseas when they take their vacation.  According to the searched being conducted, Greece is becoming a popular travel destination.  In addition, people are looking at vacations in Antalya in Turkey and across Europe, anywhere travelers can get to the sun and beaches.

According to research, Brits are more than happy to pay for their getaway in the sun, spending an average of £672 to get to their destination for a little R&R.  A quarter of Brits are happy to pay for the best at a rate of £500 and £1,000 per person.  According to the most recent TripBarometer by TripAdvisor, 41% of Brits are willing to increase their travel budgets in 2013, with only 23% saying the potential triple-dip recession is affecting their travel plans.
