Budget Carrier easyJet to Fly to Bergen, Norway

Low-cost carrier easyJet has announced that they will be launching flights from Gatwick Airport to Bergen, Norway, which is known as “The Gateway to the Fjords.”  These flights will make Norway the 33rd country to which easyJet flies and the airline expects to carry more than 100,000 passengers between the UK and Norway every year.  Bergen is a haven for lovers of the outdoors, with a beautiful coast set against seven incredible mountains.

Paul Simmons, the UK Director of easyJet, spoke at Bergen Airport, saying that they are thrilled to be announcing the launch of the flights.  He also said it is the first time they are offering flights to Norway and that Bergen is a wonderful city.  They expect the route to be very popular.  The announcement for the new flights to Bergen comes just one month after the airline announced an increase in the frequency of flights to Copenhagen, Denmark.
