Anyone who has ever wanted to climb Mount Everest might just get their wish come true in 2013 according to  In May, The Adventure Company, will lead a trek to the Mount Everest base camp in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the first climb to the summit of the mountain, accomplished by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay.  The trek is scheduled for 18 days and will start on May 24.


Those who go on the trek will have a chance to see five of the ten UNESCO World Heritage sites that are in Nepal.  Participants will be transferred from Kathmandu to Lukla, where they will trek to Namche Bazaar.  They will then follow an ancient route into Tibet and will stay in Sherpa Tenzing’s home village of Thame.  The cost of this adventure is £1,959, which includes all airfare, hotel accommodations, porters, and guides.
