Delta to offer free in-flight entertainment

This week, Delta Air Lines announced it will start offering free in-flight entertainment on all flights within the U.S. that are longer than 90 minutes. The entertainment includes TV shows, music, video games, and movies. The comped service will start August 1. Passengers who have seat-back entertainment systems will use those, while passengers without will be able to stream their choices onto laptops, mobile devices, and tablets using the onboard WiFi. All international flights will also include free in-flight entertainment; all aircraft used for international flights had seat-back entertainment systems installed in 2013.

Premium content like on-demand television shows and new movies will still be available for purchase.
