Don’t shop on Sundays if you want cheap flights

Hopper, a travel-tech startup out of Boston, has come out with a study that shows that Sundays are the worst days to buy a ticket, while Thursday is the cheapest.

According to the data collected, Wednesday departures are the cheapest. For returns, Tuesday is the cheapest day for domestic travel while Wednesday is the cheapest for international flights. Like with most other studies, Hopper’s turned up information that proved Fridays were the most expensive for both domestic and international travel.

The study collected data starting in January 2013 and ending this month.

Although there are best and worst days, though, the difference is minimal: just $10 difference between the “best” and “worst” days for domestic flights, and $25 for international flights.
