easyJet Launches New Flights to Santiago de Compostela

Budget carrier easyJet has launched new flights from London Gatwick to Santiago de Compostela, which is located in western Spain.  The flights will operate three times per week all year round and the airline is expecting the flights to be very popular with British travelers who want a fabulous historical city vacation.  The city boasts a unique cultural history, fabulous cuisine, and the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral.

Paul Simmons, UK director, easyJet, says they are happy to be launching their inaugural flight today and he adds that Spain is still a favorite among British travelers.  Now they will have more than 8.5 million seats available to Spain this year.  In addition, in 2012, easyJet partnered up with the Spanish hotel institution the Paradores de Turismo de España, which is the first partnership of its kind for the hotel group.  Now flight-inclusive short trips and holidays can be booked on the easyJet website.
