Fog causes a number of flight delays in Western Canada

It seems as though we’ve moved from winter weather conditions to spring conditions as fog is to blame for flight delays in Western Canada. There was heavy fog in effect Monday and Tuesday that affected seaplanes and airlines in Nanaimo and surrounding areas. In fact there were delays up and down the entire coast of B.C.

On Tuesday there was a WestJet flight and four Air Canada flights that were affected while on Monday there was a WestJet flight and two Air Canada flights affected. In total the delays affected approximately 700 passengers spread out over 60 flights. Meanwhile travel by ferry was up as the fog doesn’t affect the ferry boats.
