May 18 will see the addition of 4 Frontier Airline flights each week between Denver and Bloomington’s Central Regional Airport. The new flights will take place aboard Ebraer 190 jets, that seat 99 passengers. This is great for the airport in Bloomington, which recently also added new flights to Orlando Florida with Allegiant Air.
Unfortunately, the Bloomington airport will lose a carrier as well. AirTran Airways will cease operations at the airport in June. As for Denver, the region stands to gain more flights as Springfield’s Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport is also considering adding flights to the Denver region as they want to add a western destination to their roster.
