Healthrow Terminal 2 not so cheap revamp

Terminal 2 at Heathrow has been rebuilt to the tune of £2.5 billion (approximately $4.2 billion USD)

Luis Vidal + Architects (LVA) designed the terminal, which will be called the Queen’s Terminal once it opens in early June. Eventually, it will extend to be part of the principal terminal building and will be part of London’s front door, which is the first thing people see when they get off a plane at Heathrow and the last thing they see before leaving.

Originally, Foster + Partners was supposed to design Terminal 2, but Heathrow’s owner BAA was sold to Ferrovial, a Spanish infrastructure consortium, which gave the job to LVA.
