Ryanair Announces Plans to Open First Non-EU Bases

Low-cost Irish carrier Ryanair, known for its cheap flights, has announced that they will be opening their very first non-EU bases of operations in Morocco.  The opening of the Morocco bases will happen later this year.  These will be the airline’s 56th and 57th bases and they will be located in Fez and Marrakech.  In addition, Ryanair will be adding two new airports to their schedule, Essaouira and Rabat.


The schedule has been set up such that a total of 15 routes will be operated out of Fez, which includes four new routes to Lille, Nimes, Nantes, and St Etienne.  There will be 22 routes operating out of Marrakech, including seven new routes to Baden, Dole, Paris Bergerac, Cuneo, Munich, and Tours.  From Essaouira two routes will operate to Marseille and Brussels and from Rabat three routes will operate to Paris, Marseille, and Brussels.
