Ryanair reverses plans to offer transatlantic flights

Irish airline Ryanair announced last week that it would offer $15 flights between London, UK and the U.S. Now the CEO, Michael O’Leary, said the airline messed up and the news last week was “a miscommunication.” The Ryanair board denied every having approved such a plan: “In the light of recent press coverage, the Board of Ryanair Holdings Plc wishes to clarify that it has not considered or approved or approved any transatlantic project and does not intend to do so.”  Mr. O’Leary said that Ryanair’s board couldn’t approve the project because the transatlantic project would need a separate company.
