Wizz Air to Start Flights from Riga to Bergen

Low-cost airline Wizz Air, which operates flights throughout Central and Eastern Europe, recently launched flights from Riga to Bergen.  The flights began on Monday, April 1 and they will be operated twice per week, on Mondays and Fridays.  Aldis Murnieks, Chairman of the Board of Riga International Airport, said that they appreciate the fact that Wizz Air is able to offer travelers more and more choice in travel destinations.

Daniel de Carvalho, Wizz Air Corporate Communications Manager, echoed those sentiments, saying that Wizz Air is very happy to have operated their first flight, carrying 128 passengers from Riga to Bergen.  He added that this opens up much potential for tourism at both destinations and their low fares get the people of Riga flying.  Riga International Airport is the biggest air travel hub in the Baltic States, with 17 airlines operating out of the airport, offering flights to 81 destinations.
