Jan 2010 (annual)

The Chingay Parade, part of Singapore's Chinese New Year celebrations, sees magical floats and vibrant performers dance their way down Raffles Avenue. Spectators vote for their favourite float and, after the parade, there's all-night partying outside City Hall.
The main Chingay Parade starts from the Supreme Court & City Hall on Saturday evening. But if you can't wait till then, a preview parade also takes place on the Friday. An hour before each of the parades begins the area is filled with pre-parade festivities.

Tickets can be bought for the viewing galleries or you can watch for free anywhere along the parade route. The Chingay Parade website releases full programme details and ticket prices for the Saturday night party as soon as they become available.
