Mani Bhavan is the house on Laburnum Road, Mumbai, that belonged to Shri Revashankar Jhaveri, a friend of Mahatma Gandhi and his host in Mumbai. From 1917 to 1934, whenever Gandhi visited the city he stayed in the house. It was here that he formulated civil disobedience and satyagraha, non-violent resistance. As a residence of national historic significance, it is now a museum and research centre.
