Nearly a mile (1.4km) long, Gwangalli Beach is famous for the quality of its sand and that fact that the beach is 64m wide.
With a water cleaning programme, the beach can boast very clean waves, which allows fishermen to catch fish which can be served raw direct from the sea.

Other facilities - popular with a youthful crowd - include Olympic Yacht Rental, waterskiing, jet skiing, windsurfing and other exciting water sports. There is also a cultural centre, museum, theatres, cinemas and an art gallery, plus a TV studio and shopping area with both indigenous and foreign brand name stores. Finally, an out-door concert stage hosts the Busan Ocean Festival amongst other events.
