Made up, in fact, of five (or, depending on the tide, six) islands, Oryukdo Island is just south of Pusan (Busan in modern transliteration). The distinctive, craggy, steep-sided islands are a popular tourist destination reached on a ferry from Haeundae Mipo Dock.
A designated city monument, the islands - apart from Deungdaedo (Lighthouse) Island - are uninhabited. The others are called Gonggotdo, Guldo, Surido and Usakdo Islands, the latter with its two parts sometimes also known separately as Bangpaedo and Sol Islands.
