At 200m, the fully glazed Main Tower in central Frankfurt is the city's fourth-tallest building, doing its fair share to dub the city 'Mainhattan'. The 54th-floor observation platform offers breathtaking views over the city and river.
Since the building was opened in 2000 as the headquarters of the Hesse-Thuringia Landesbank, it has proved to be an ongoing attraction for both tourists and locals, and was the first of the local skyscrapers to open to the public. In addition to the observation platform, visitors can enjoy their drinks or dinner in the Helaba restaurant while gazing out over Frankfurt's famous skyline. Drinkers should expect a slightly more expensive Pilsener beer than in the pubs on the ground level!
