The annual Munich Ballet Week showcases the talents of the Bavarian State Ballet, which in recent years has joined the Munich Philharmonic and the State Opera as an internationally recognised ensemble. Performances take place at the Nationaltheater.
The Bavarian State Ballet celebrates its 20th anniversary during the 2009 Ballet Week and highlights of the programme include a work created especially for Munich - Migrating Birds (Zugvɒgel) is presented by Jiri Kylian. Other performances include the Terpsichore-Gala VIII, Le Corsaire by Marius Petipa and The Lady of the Camelias by John Neumeier.

Please visit the Bavarian State Ballet website for the full programme details. The Ballet Week provides a fine excuse for a visit to Munich, which is full to bursting with music and art.
